About Us
The Strathdearn
The Strathdearn is a newly built, spacious, bright and impressive hall. It currently plays host to a range of community groups and would also be an ideal venue for a variety of events, including weddings, baby showers, conferences, exhibitions, concerts and ceilidhs.
From the moment you walk through the front door, the building welcomes you into a vibrant space, flooded with natural daylight. Featuring natural materials, including slate and wood, the space is warm and welcoming for any occasion. Outdoor patio areas make for an ideal space in the summer, for reception drinks at a wedding, or a coffee break during a meeting.
Built with sustainability in mind, an air source heat pump and underfloor heating provide ambient heating for the entire building, and triple-glazed windows and high levels of insulation ensure a cosy feel, even in the midst of the coldest Highland winters. The building is also fitted with state of the art AV equipment, including a sound system, laser projector and induction loop in the main hall.

Where are we?
The Strathdearn is situated on the main street in Tomatin, 25km south of Inverness and 25km north of Aviemore, nestling in spectacular scenery but just a 15-minute drive from shops, restaurants, a cinema and a theatre.
If you’re coming from the Inverness direction, you can find us 200m from the railway bridge, on the left. If you’re approaching from the south, cross over the Findhorn River bridge, drive 300m and find us on the right.

It was a pleasure to hold Inverness Chamber of Commerce’s first networking lunch of 2022 at The Strathdearn.
The modern venue is located in a beautiful setting with excellent facilities and enjoys an abundance of natural light thanks to the large windows.
The arrangements for our event were fulfilled exactly as requested and all the staff were extremely welcoming and helpful.
